Two Injured in a Collision on US 641 in Calloway County

Date of News Release: 06/21/2013

(Hickory, KY.) -- Ms. Wanda Hunter was traveling north on US 641 when her attention was diverted. Ms. Hunter's vehicle exited the right side of the roadway and she over-corrected, causing the vehicle to cross back over both lanes and off the left side of the roadway. As her vehicle left the roadway, it began to rotate clockwise until the wheels dug into the ground, causing the vehicle to overturn. Ms. Hunter's vehicle overturned approximately 3 times before coming to final rest on its wheels, facing south. A passenger in the vehicle, Nekesha Green, had to be extricated from the vehicle and both were transported to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for their injuries. Kentucky State was assisted on scene by Murray-Calloway County EMS, Murray Fire Department and Calloway County Fire Rescue. Sergeant Ryan Dawson is conducting the investigation.
