KSP Investigating Bomb Threat at Calloway County High School

(Murray, KY.) – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a bomb threat at Calloway County High School.
On Monday, April 29, 2013, at approximately 12:55 p.m., the KSP post 1 Mayfield was contacted by the Calloway County Sheriff's Office in reference to a bomb threat at Calloway County High School located at 2108 College Farm Road, Murray. A threat indicating that there was a bomb in the school had been discovered in a girl's bathroom.
Emergency personnel from several agencies responded to the scene. Students were evacuated from the high school and the middle school was locked down. A search of the school was conducted by officers and a canine from the KSP Special Operations Section. No explosives or explosive devices were located. Students were allowed to return to their classes at approximately 2:40 p.m.

Trooper David Dick is continuing the investigation. The Calloway County Sherriff's Office, Calloway County Fire-Rescue, Murray Police Department, and Murray State Public Safety assisted at the scene.
