KSP works Fatal Crash in Calloway County

(Hazel, KY.) – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a single vehicle fatality collision that occurred on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at approximately 02:52 p.m. The collision occurred on US 641 north of Hazel, KY.
Preliminary investigation shows that a 1999 Ford Taurus ran off the right side of the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle overturned before coming to final rest against a tree.
The driver of the vehicle was Daniel M. Milam, 24 from Memphis, TN. Mr.. Milam was pronounced dead on the scene by the Calloway County Coroner. Mr. Milam was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Trooper Brian Duvall is continuing the investigation. Trooper Duvall was assisted on the scene by the Calloway County Sheriff's Department, Murray Calloway County EMS, Calloway County Coroner's Office, Murray Fire Department, and the Calloway County Fire Rescue.
