Henderson Jail Employee Charged with Rape

(Henderson, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, September 11, 2013, Kentucky State Police Detective Chris Baker charged 26 year-old Brittany L. Murch of Henderson with two (2) counts of Rape 3rd Degree and two (2) counts of Promoting Contraband 1st Degree, both are class D felonies.
The investigation was initiated by the Kentucky State Police when authorities with the Henderson County Detention Center reported allegations of official misconduct with one of their employees. It is alleged that Murch had inappropriate sexual relations with a state inmate housed at the facility back in August. Further investigation revealed Murch brought methamphetamine and alcoholic beverages in the detention center.
Murch is being held in the Henderson County Detention Center in Henderson.
The investigation in continuing.
