Two-Vehicle Injury Collision in Daviess County
Date of News Release: 09/09/2013
(Henderson, Ky.) -- David Hester of Owensboro was traveling eastbound on U.S. 60, west of Owensboro. James Pate of Owensboro was also on U.S. 60 traveling eastbound in front of Hester. Hester was in the process of overtaking Pate while Pate was making a left turn onto Oakford Road. Hester drove his 2003 Ford Ranger into the rear of Pate's 1989 Ford dump truck.
It appears that Hester attempted to stop his vehicle prior to impact; however, it is unknown weather speed is a factor in this collision.
Hester had injuries to his forehead and sustained minor cuts. He was taken via ambulance to Owensboro Health for treatment of his injuries. Pate was not injured.
The investigation is continuing.
