Date of News Release: 04/16/2013

(Owensboro, KY) -- A Daviess County man was arrested on charges related to child pornography Tuesday after the Kentucky State Police served a search warrant at his home.

Jerry L. Kitchens Jr., 25, is charged with 43 counts of Possession of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor (which is a class D felony per count). He was lodged at the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro on NO bond.

Mr. Kitchens was arrested by the Kentucky State Police ICAC Task Force as a result of an undercover investigation into the possession of images of child sexual exploitation. The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Mr. Kitchens' residence in Owensboro on April 16, 2013, by the Kentucky State Police ICAC Task Force and Post 16 units. Detectives seized evidence that was being used to possess child pornography and it was taken to the Kentucky State Police forensic laboratory for examination.
