News Release

Man Arrested After Crash with OPD

Date of News Release: 04/09/2013

(Henderson, KY) -- Bradley Action of Owensboro was traveling westbound on West 3rd Street in the limits of Owensboro. Owensboro Police Officer Jason Lee was traveling northbound on Maple Street enroute to a call of service. When Lee went through the intersection, he was struck by Mr. Action who was traveling at a high rate of speed for the area. Both vehicles made front-fender contact and struck a parked car before coming to final rest in the intersection.

Mr. Action's passengers, Nicholas Hall and Anton Ganger, were reporting minor discomfort and transported by ambulance to Owensboro Health for treatment. Both vehicle operators were uninjured.

During the course of the collision investigation, Trooper Karbasi determined Mr. Action was intoxicated. Trooper Karbasi arrested Mr. Action and charged him with Driving Under the Influence 1st. He was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.
