News Release

Two Jamestown Men Arrested in Connection with the Russell County Burglary

Date of News Release: 07/09/2013

(Columbia, KY.) -- 29-year-old Steven Chaney and 28-year-old Gary Michael Vance, both of Jamestown, were arrested today and charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking (Felony). The investigation revealed that 3 men entered a barn owned by Donnie Knight of Jamestown in the early morning hours of July 1st, 2013, stealing equipment valued at over $1000.00. Both men were lodged in the Russell County Jail and more arrests are expected.

The investigation was conducted by Lt. Eric Wolford and Det. B.J. Burton with the Kentucky State Police at Post 15, Columbia.

Post 15 Requesting Assistance with Identifying Russell County Burglary Suspects

Date of News Release: 07/03/2013

(Columbia, KY.) Post 15 is investigating a burglary that occurred between April 1st June 30, 2013 in the area of Warriner Ridge Road and Lawless Cemetery Road of Russell County. A Tractor Supply brand 3-point auger, 2 performance tractor batteries, draw bar for a Massey 255 and chain link dog kennel were taken.
