Post 15 Activity Report for February, 2013

Date of News Release: 03/04/2013

(Columbia, Ky.) -- During the month of February 2013, there were 22 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There were one fatal during the month of February in the Post 15 area:

John F. Parton of Liberty KY, was killed in Casey Co KY on 02/24/13.

This brings our yearly fatality count to 3 compared with 6 through this same period in 2012.

State wide fatality count stands at 76 compared with 110 through this same period in 2012.

During the month of February 2013, there were 1428 citations written, 314 courtesy notices written, 1645 vehicles inspected, 615 complaints answered, 55 motorists assisted, 52 criminal cases opened and 244 criminal arrests made.
