News Release

Adair County Injury Collision Sends Two to Hospital

Date of News Release: 03/03/2013

(Columbia, Ky.) -- Trooper Adam Likins is investigating a collision that occurred on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 10:30 PM CST on KY 55, 6 miles south of Columbia. 22-year-old Leah Franklin of Russell Springs was traveling south on KY 55 operating a 2006 Mitsubishi when she left the south bound shoulder of the roadway. The car continued over an embankment and stopped in the ditchline. Passengers, 22-year-old Nikki McClanahan of Russell Springs and 16-year-old Jennifer Roy of Jamestown were not wearing seatbelts. Roy and Franklin were transported to Russell County Hospital where they were treated and released. Adair County EMS assisted.
