Two Found Dead in Thousandsticks Community of Leslie County

Date of News Release: 01/23/2013

(Hyden, Ky.) -- On January 22, 2013 at approximately 5:05 PM the Kentucky State Police in Hazard assisted the Leslie County Sheriff's Office on a welfare check at Upper Bull Creek Road in the Thousandsticks community of Leslie County.

Upon arrival KSP and Sheriff's office units discovered two deceased bodies in the residence. Preliminary investigation indicates that April L. Sizemore, age 27 of Thousandsticks KY and Steven Wells, age 35 also of Thousandsticks, were the two individuals deceased. The cause of death has not been released nor determined at this time. The victims were scheduled for autopsies at the Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort on January 23, 2013. The case still remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police at Hazard.
