Shelby County Man Found Dead at the Scene of An Active Methamphetamine Lab

(Shelbyville) - On September 09, 2013 at approximately 1:11 PM, Kentucky State Police Units arrived at a residence on Mulberry Pike, Shelby County, to investigate a possible missing person's complaint.
After attempting to make contact with subjects in the residence, Units heard what appeared to be a gun shot. One subject came out of the residence, and was transported to Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville, KY.
A Shelby County man was found deceased in the residence from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
Units also located what appeared to be an active clandestine methamphetamine lab inside the residence.
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Shelby County EMS, and Henry County Coroners Office.
The investigation is continuing at this time by Kentucky State Police, Post 12, Frankfort.
