Shelbyville Woman Arrested for Attempting to Bribe a Public Servant and DUI
Date of News Release: 07/26/2013
(Shelbyville, KY) -- On July 26, 2013 at approximately 0017 AM, a Kentucky State Trooper was offered money and sexual favors as incentive to not arrest a Shelbyville woman for DUI.
Tracy L. Warner, age 43, of Shelbyville, was arrested by Kentucky State Police during a traffic safety checkpoint conducted on KY Hwy 395 in Shelby County. Upon arrest, Warner made repeated attempts to avoid detention by offering cash and sexual favors in exchange for her release.
Warner was arrested and transported to the Shelbyville Detention Center where she was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs/Alcohol 1st, Possession of an Open Alcoholic Container in a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Notify DOT of Address Change and Bribery of a Public Servant. (Bribery of a Public Servant is a Class C Felony)
The incident is under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
