News Release

Injury Collision on I-64 in Shelby County

Date of News Release: 06/19/2013

(Shelby County) -- On Wednesday June 19, 2013 at approximately 0734 AM, Kentucky State Police Unit responded to a single vehicle injury collision which occurred on Interstate 64 east near the 44 mile marker, Shelby County. A Blue 1999 Pontiac passenger car was traveling eastbound on I64E when it left the roadway, striking an earthen embankment, causing the vehicle to overturn in an adjoining field.

The driver, Marcus Brown, age 26, of Lawrenceburg, KY was transported by Shelby County EMS to Frankfort Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries.

Kentucky State Police were assisted in the investigation by Selby County EMS, Shelby County Fire Department, East 60 Fire Department and Waddy Fire Department.

The collision investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police Post 12.
