Shelby County Injury Collision

(Shelbyville, KY) -- On Sunday June 16, 2013 at approximately 2:38 PM, Kentucky State Police Units responded to a single vehicle injury collision which occurred on Interstate 64 west near the 32 mile marker, Shelby County. A Black 2000 Nissan Pickup was traveling westbound on I64W when it left the roadway, stiking an earthen embankment, causing the vehicle overturn. The vehicle came to rest on the I64 W slow lane. The driver of the vehicle, Robert L Tingle, age 66, of Shelbyville, was trapped inside the vehicle.
Tingle was extracated from the vehicle by Shelbyville Fire Department and transported to University of Louisville Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Kentucky State Police were assisted in the investigation by Shelbyville Fire/EMS.
The collision investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police Post 12.
