Manchester Man Shot to Death During Break-In
Date of News Release: 11/28/2013
(LONDON, KY.) - On Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at approximately 8:37 PM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London was notified by the Clay County 911 Center of a shooting on Otter Creek Rd in Clay County.
Troopers arrived at the residence and discovered Charles Wagers, 20, of Manchester deceased of an apparent gunshot wound.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Raleigh Sizemore had gone to his girlfriend, Peggy Jackson's residence. When Mr. Sizemore entered the residence he was confronted by Wagers who had allegedly entered Jackson's residence by breaking and entering.
Wager's received a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clay County Coroner, Danny Finley.
KSP Detective Jeff Senters is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by KSP SGT Steve Smallwood, TPR Nick Metcalf, Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Clay County EMS.
