Injury Traffic Crash in Rockcastle County
Date of News Release: 10/31/2013
(LONDON, KY.) - On Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at approximately 4:14 PM, the Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of a single vehicle traffic crash on southbound I-75 near the 53 mile marker in Rockcastle County.
Upon arrival, Trooper Delzie Kelly determined that a 2002 Nissan Sentra, operated by Misty L. Ingram, 34, of Lexington, was traveling southbound when she dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway and struck an embankment and overturned several times.
Ingram was airlifted from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.
Ingram was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Drug and alcohol usage is unknown at this time, but a toxicology report is pending.
Trooper Delzie Kelly is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by TPR Brandon Creekmore, TPR Nick Metcalf, the Mount Vernon Fire Department and the Rockcastle EMS.
