Fugitive From Another State Arrested in Whitley County
Date of News Release: 09/11/2013
(LONDON, KY.) -- On Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at approximately 10:48 AM, Trooper Michael Witt was patrolling on US Highway 25, in Corbin, when he was approached by a male subject that advised the Trooper that he thought he was wanted out of the state of Tennessee, and wanted to turn himself in to authorities.
Trooper Witt then ran a check through the National Crime Information Center ( NCIC ) and discovered that the male subject was in fact entered as wanted by the Kingsport, TN Police Department for the charges of Attempted Murder, Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery.
Arrested was Michael D. Ford, II, 38, of Kingsport, TN and charged with being a fugitive from another state and lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
