Williamsburg Man Arrested on Drug Charges in Whitley County

(LONDON, KY.) -- On Wednesday, July 03, 2013 at 12:30 a.m. Troopers from the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, along with Officers from the Williamsburg Police Department and the ATF responded to a residence on Gibson Lane in the Canada Town Community of Whitley County in reference to an investigation into illegal drug actively.
Upon arrival officers could smell chemical odors and they approached the home which became stronger as the got closer. Upon stepping onto the porch area of the home officers observed, in plain view, a duffel bag with vapor / smoke coming from it and could see a HCL generator (used in the manufacture of Meth) inside. Also, observed on the porch were items associated with the manufacture of Meth.
Trooper Tony Dingess arrested Jamie M. Gibson, 41, of Williamsburg on the charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st Offense and Possession of a Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree.
Trooper Dingess is continuing the investigation and was assisted by Williamsburg Police Department and the ATF.
