News Release

Theft Investigation and Arrests in Laurel County

Date of News Release: 06/06/2013

(LONDON, KY.) -- On Monday, June 03, 2013 at 3:36 p.m. the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, was notified of a flat bed trailer theft from a residence on Redbud Lane in the North Corbin Community of Laurel County .

Upon arrival Trooper Jack Riley spoke with the victim who stated a man and a woman removed a trialer from his property unlawfully (without consent or permission). Trooper Riley began an investigation into the theft and the victim sent copies of the video / photographs to media outlets.

On Wednesday, June 05, 2013, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received anonymous information as to the possible identities of the man and woman involved in the theft of the trailer.

Trooper Riley followed up on the information, located and arrested Ian G. Mounts, 35, of London and Candice N. Taylor, 36, of Corbin on the charge of Theft By Unlawful Taking (a class D Felony).

Both sujects were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Trooper Riley is continuing the investigation.
