News Release

Promoting Contraband Investigation and Arrests in Clay County

Date of News Release: 06/03/2013

(LONDON, KY.) -- On Saturday, June 01, 2013 at 9:43 a.m. the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, was notified by personnel at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Manchester, KY of a vistor that had entered the complex with contraband.

Upon arrival Trooper Justin Oliver learned that Kimberly Dawn Wolf, 37, of Henderson, KY had enter the FCI Facility with the intent to deliver suspected drugs to an imate. Wolf was detain by FCI Personnel and arrested by Trooper Oliver on the charges of Possession of Marijuana, Trafficking in a Controled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (greater than 4 grams-cocaine) and Promoting Contraband 1st Degree.

As Trooper Oliver was preparing to leave the complex with Wolf he was notified of another vistor being detained with suspected drugs.

Trooper Oliver arrested Anessie G. Patterson, 44, of Charlotte, NC on the charges of Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 oz.) 1st Offense and Promoting Contraband 2nd Degree. A child that was with Patterson was taken into protective custody, turned over to the Clay County Social Services and later released to a relative.

No relationship was found between Wolf and Patterson and the two incidents are not believed to be connected.

Trooper Oliver is continuing the investigation and he was assisted by personnel at the FCI Manchester and the Clay County Social Services.
