News Release

Traffic Crash with Injury on US 25 in Laurel County

Date of News Release: 04/11/2013

(LONDON, KY.) -- On Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at approximately 1:43 pm, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a report of a multiple vehicle traffic crash, with injury, on US 25, 6 miles south of London in Laurel County.

Upon arrival Trooper Lloyd Cochran determined that a gray, 1998, Jeep, Grand Cherokee, SUV operated by Robert B. Williams, 18, of London, was northbound on US 25 when it struck a white, 2000, Lincoln, Continental, passenger car, operated by Heather C. Hensley, 40, of Corbin, that was stopped in traffic, in the rear. That collision caused the Lincoln to strike a red, 2008 Chevrolet, Cobalt, passenger car, operated by Wanda S. Hubbard, 39, of Manchester, that was stopped in traffic, in the rear. The gray Jeep, after the intial collision with the Lincoln, crossed the centerline and struck a southbound vehicle, identified as a white, 2012, Toyota, Highlander, SUV, operated by Rodney V. Chrisman, 56, of McKee. A total of four (4) vehicles were involved in the collision.

One person, Wanda S. Hubbard, 39, of Manchester, was transported by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County to Saint Joseph of London for treatment of minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

No drug or alcohol usage was suspected.

Trooper Cochran is in charge of the investigation and was assited at the scene by KSP Trooper Jack Riley, the Laurel County EMS and a local fire department.
