News Release

Murder Investigation and Arrests in Clay County

Date of News Release: 03/23/2013

(LONDON, KY.) -- In May of 2012, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 in London began an investigation into the death of a 16 year old female juvenile that was found deceased at a residence on Ham Hollow Road in Clay County.

Her official cause of death was declared as an overdose.

Further investigation led Detective Jeff Senters to secure indictment warrants of arrest for Brenda Bolton, 52, of Manchester, on the charges of Complicity to Commit Murder and Unlawful Transaction with a Minor (Illegal Controlled Substance) and Kenny Wayne Collins, 45, of Ham Hollow (Manchester) in Clay County on the charges of Murder and Unlawful Transaction with a Minor (Illegal Controlled Substance).

Bolton was arrested on March 21, 2013 by Detective Jeff Senters and Collins was arrested on March 23, 2013 by the Clay County Sherriff's Office. Both were lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.

Detective Senters is continuing the investigation and was assisted by officers from the Clay County Sheriff's Department.
