Third Arrest Made in the Clay County Murder Case

Date of News Release: 03/20/2013

(LONDON, KY.) -- On Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 4:50 p.m. the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, was notified that the Clay County Sheriff's Office served an indictment warrant of arrest in reference to the Murder of Eli Marcum.

Detective Jeff Senters secured an indictment warrant of arrest for Reva S. Hicks, 46, of Manchester on the charge of Complicity to Commit Murder in reference to the death of Eli Marcum.

The investigation began on Saturday, December 08, 2012 when the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a report, from the Clay County 911 Center, of a person found deceased on Saw Mill Hollow Road in the Crawlfish community of Clay County.

Detective Senters is continuing the investigation and he was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff's Department.

Murder Arrest in Clay County

(LONDON, KY.) -- On Monday, February 18, 2013 at 1:45 p.m. the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, was notified that the Clay County Sheriff's Office served two (2) warrants of arrest in reference to the Murder of Eli Marcum.

Detective Jeff Senters secured warrants of arrest for Gerald Lee Sizemore, 52, of Manchester and Vernon R. Delph, 46, of Manchester on the charge of Murder in reference to the death of Eli Marcum.

The investigation began on Saturday, December 08, 2012 when the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a report, from the Clay County 911 Center, of a person found deceased on Saw Mill Hollow Road in the Crawlfish community of Clay County.

Detective Senters is continuing the investigation and he was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff's Department.

Death Investigation in Clay County

Date of News Release: 12/08/2012

(LONDON, KY.) -- On Saturday, December 08, 2012 at 3:06 PM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a report, from the Clay County 911 Center, of a person found deceased on Saw Mill Hollow Road in the Crawlfish community of Clay County.

Upon arrival Detective Richie Baxter discovered the victim just off a dirt road.

The cause of death and positive identification are pending the outcome of an autopsy.

Detective Baxter is continuing the investigation and he was assisted by officers from the Kentucky State Police, the Clay County Sheriff's Department and the Clay County Coroner's Office.
