Traffic Crash with Injury in Rockcastle County

(LONDON, KY.) -- On Monday, March 04, 2013 at approximately 7:48 a.m., the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a report of a two vehicle traffic crash, with injury, on US 25 south of Mount Vernon in Rockcastle County.
Upon arrival Trooper Eric Moore determined that a white, 1999, Nissan, Frontier pickup truck operated by Timothy S. Milburn, 42, of Mount Vernon, was traveling southbound on US 25 when it went onto the left shoulder of the roadway, overcorrected and crossed the centerline striking a blue, 2000, Chevrolet, Silverado, pickup truck, operated by Hollis Marcum, 67, of Mount Vernon, head-on.
Milburn, and his passenger Timothy S. Milburn, Jr., 20, of Mount Vernon, were flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington for treatment of their injuries and were listed as stable condition.
Marcum was transported to the Rockcastle County Hospital, by private vehicle, where he was treated and released.
No drug or alcohol usage was suspected.
Trooper Moore is in charge of the investigation and was assited at the scene by the Rockcastle County Sheriffs Office, the Rockcastle County EMS and a local fire department.
