POLICE PRESS RELEASE
Three Arrested on Meth Charges in Bath County
Date of News Release: 02/04/2012
(Morehead, Ky.) -- On February 3, 2012 at 8:06 pm Kentucky State Police in Morehead was notified by Bath County Sheriff Tuffy Snedegar that he had just received an anonymous tip stating that there was an active Methamphetamine Lab on US 60 just East of Owingsville and requested our assistance. Upon further investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the residence and executed. Six one step Methamphetamine Labs and numerous precursors were discovered inside the residence.
Three subjects were arrested on scene; Alonzo D. Martin charged with, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (< 2 Grams Methamphetamine), Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor, 1st Offense. Stephanie Sandy charged with, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Offense, Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st Offense, Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified), Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree, 1st Offense (>or=20 Drug Unspecified schedule 3), Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st Offense, Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor, 1st Offense and Unlawful Distribution of a Meth Precursor, 1st Offense. Joe C. Jackson charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense. All three subjects are currently lodged at Montgomery County Detention Center.
Incident remains under investigation by Trooper Daniel Armstrong and Trooper Marti Burton.
