Injury Collision on US 460 in Morgan County

Date of News Release: 02/01/2012

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On February 1, 2012 Kentucky State Police Morehead received a call for service from Morgan County Dispatch in reference to a single vehicle accident on US 460 in Morgan County. Trooper Mike McPherson responded to the scene. Scottie Risner was operating a 1994 Ford Probe west bound on US 460 when he entered a curve and lost control on the wet roadway. Mr. Risner traveled off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, traveling across the east bound lane exiting the roadway on the left hand side. Mr. Risner was not injured in the accident. Passenger Jennifer Patrick was transported to Morgan Appalachian Regional Hospital with non life-threatening injuries to her face. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Mike McPherson, Kentucky State Police Morehead.
