Injury Collision on US 60 East in Rowan County

Date of News Release: 01/09/2012

(Morehead, Ky.) -- On January 9, 2012, at 2:34 pm, KSP Post 8 in Morehead was advised of a two vehicle injury accident on US 60 East in Rowan County. Edgar Combs was traveling eastbound in a 2002 Dodge Durango when he veered into the westbound lane of travel, colliding with a westbound 2001 Cadillac operated by Orville Tackett. The Dodge continued eastbound in the westbound lane of travel until exiting the left shoulder of the roadway and coming to final rest against a residence at 7870 US 60 East. Mrs. Tackett was transported by EMS to St. Claire Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Combs was flown from the scene by PHI to Cabell-Huntington for treatment. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision at this time. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Scott Caudill.
