Murder Weapon Recovered

(Dry Ridge, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police Post 6 recovered a pistol from a murder investigation on Levy Road in Bourbon County. Through the investigation it was learned that the pistol was thrown into Stoner Creek on KY 57. Detective Gatson contacted the Lexington Fire Department Dive team for assistance in recovering the pistol. On December 28, 2011 the dive team was able to locate the pistol in approxiamatly three feet of water. The pistol was taken into evidence by Detective Gatson.

Arrests in Murder Investigation in Bourbon County
Date of News Release: 12/29/2011
(Dry Ridge, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police have made two arrests in a Murder investigation in Bourbon County. The murder occurred in Bourbon County on December 25, 2011 on Levy Road. William C. Ross (36) of Ewing Ky was arrested on December 25, 2011 and charged with Murder and Assault 1st degree. He was lodged in the Bourbon County Detention Center. John A. Haynes (34) of Paris Ky. was arrested on December 29, 2011 and charged with Complicity to Assault 1st degree. He is lodged at Montgomery Detention Center. An additional arrest was made on December 29, 2011 on a William Bradley of Paris. He has been charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence in this case. This case remains under investigation under investigation by Detective Gatson.
