Injury Collision on Berrytown Road in Hardin County

Date of News Release: 01/07/2012

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) –- On January 7, 2012, at 6:33 am EST, Kentucky State Police Post 4 investigated an injury accident on Berrytown Road, 1 mile west of Rineyville. A 1997 GMC Jimmy, operated by Chelsea R McClanahan (age 18, of Hardinsburg, KY), was traveling west on Berrytown Rd, when the vehicle dropped off of the right shoulder of the roadway. The driver then overcorrected and the vehicle overturned several times. During the accident the driver was ejected from the vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries. The driver was treated at the scene by Hardin County EMS and was later transported to University of Louisville Hospital by Air Methods Air Ambulance. The investigation into this accident is ongoing.
