Armed Robbery Investigation in Ledbetter, KY

Date of News Release: 01/07/2012

(Ledbetter, KY) -— On Friday, January 6, 2012 at about 9:40 p.m. Kentucky State Police received a report of an armed robbery that had occurred at the Minit Mart in Ledbetter. Trooper's arrived on the scene and determined that a white male, armed with a handgun, had robbed the Minit Mart and took an undetermined amount of money before fleeing the scene. At this time State Police believe the suspect to be a white male approximately six feet tall. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt or hoodie, had a blue bandana partially covering his face, and was wearing a multi-colored baseball hat.

State Police ask anyone with information to contact the Kentucky State Police Post 1 at 270-856-3721, or if they wish to remain anonymous call 1-800-222-5555. The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and citizens are reminded to not approach or attempt to apprehend him, but to call law enforcement. Kentucky State Police were assisted on scene by Livingston County Sheriff's Office, and McCracken County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit. The investigation is ongoing by Detective Kyle Nall.
