Date of News Release: 01/18/2012

(Hazard, Ky.) -- On Friday, January 13, 2012, at approximately 2:34 pm, Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard received a 911 hang up call from the residence of Tammie Bates at 39 Owens Branch Road, in the city limits of Hindman, in Knott County. A second call from the residence came in to Post 13 with a female advising that a male subject was inside the home attempting to attack her.

Knott County Sheriff Dale Richardson and Chief Deputy Robbie Slone arrived at the scene, ahead of Trooper Jody Sims, and located Tammie Bates and Ary "Bo" Patrick involved in a physical altercation inside her residence. The two subjects were separated and restrained without further incident.
