Spencer County Double Fatality

Date of News Release: 01/18/2012

(Frankfort, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 3:22 PM the Kentucky State Police received a 911 call reporting an injury collision on Mike Brown Road. The collision involves three juveniles, two of the juveniles were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Spencer Co Coroner Office. A third juvenile in the pickup was transported by the Air Methods Helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital. The vehicle was traveling east on Mike Brown Road, when the driver lost control and overturned. The juveniles were not wearing their seat belts. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police Post 12 Collision Reconstruction Team.

The three juveniles were identified as: Michella Monre, age 16, W/F and Shelby Bockting, age 17, W/F are the two juveniles who died at the scene. Jenna Rigsby, age 16, W/F was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital.
