One Killed in an Motorcycle Collision on Rt 119

(Pikeville, Ky.) -- On August 7, 2010 at 1630 hours Post 9 Pikeville received a call of a motorcycle accident on Rt 119 in the Belfry community. The motorcycle was driven by 21 year old Casey Rowe of Pikeville. Casey Rowe was traveling South on US 119 when he lost control of the motorcycle in a curve, both operator and motorcycle skidded into the guardrail face on the Northbound lane. Casey Rowe was transported to South Williamson ARH where he was pronounced dead by Coroner Russell Roberts. The Accident remains under investigation by Trooper Jason Mclellan. Trooper Mclellan was assisted at the scene by Sgt. Randy Woods, Appalachian First response Ambulance service and Belfry Fire Department.
