Child Struck By Car in Magoffin County

(Pikeville, Ky.) -- On Wednesday July 14, 2010 Post 9 Pikeville received a complaint of a child that had been struck by a vehicle in Magoffin county. The 18 month old child was air lifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital and is in stable condition. The operator of the vehicle left the scene and was later located after being involved in another traffic accident.

33 year old Stephanie Watkins was arrested and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on criminal and traffic charges.

Accident is under investigation by Trooper Donnie White.
