Man Shoots Ex-Wife Then Turns Gun on Himself

(Bevinsville, Ky.) -- Tonja M. Slone, 44 years old, of 205 Wolf Pen Road, Bevinsville, KY was shot several times by her ex-husband David L. Slone 51, of 2435 KY. Rt. 1498 Bevinsville, KY, while she sat in her van in front of Terry's Beauty Shop at Bevinsville, KY. Mrs. Slone had just left the beauty shop when her ex-husband pulled up in front of her van blocking her from leaving. He then shot her several times with a handgun. David Slone left, only to return with another firearm and continued to shoot Mrs. Slone. David Slone went back to his residence where he then shot himself. Both were pronounce dead at the scene by Floyd County Coroner Greg Nelson. The case is under investigation by Detective B.J. Caudill of the Kentucky State Police.
