Semi-Tractor Trailer Collision Claims Two Workers Lives

(Mouthcard, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police and CVE Officers responded to the scene of a Semi-Tractor Trailer collision that killed two workers that were placing signs along KY. RT. 1499 at approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning. The truck was driven by 44 year old Arthur Davis of Blackwood, South Carolina. The two workers were placing work signs along the road to warn motorists of tree trimming when the collision occurred. The deceased are Kevin D. Jones 32 years old of 50 Turnaround Lane, Dorton, Ky. and Paul Williamson 20 years old of 1023 Morgan Fork, Harold, Ky. They were pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Coroner Russell Roberts. The bodies of both men have been sent to the Kentucky State Medical Examiners Office for Autopsy to determine the exact cause of Death. Mr. Davis was arrested and charged with No Operators License, No Commercial Operators License, Log Book Not Up To Date, and Radar Detector in Commercial Vehicle. The collision is under investigation by TRP. Shannon Jones, CVE Officer Keith Justice of the Kentucky State Police, and also the Pike County Emergency Services Division.
