Two Killed in Fatal Collision at Robinson Creek, KY

Date of News Release: 03/27/2010

(Virgie, Ky.) -- On 03/27/2010 at 4:25 p.m. Justin C. Vanover, eighteen years old, of Virgie, KY., and Douglas Hall fifty-three years old of Pine Top, KY., were pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Coroner Russell Roberts, following a collision in which Mr. Vanover who was westbound on KY. Rt. 122 made a left turn into the path of Mr. Halls' vehicle. The investigation revealed Mr. Hall had no time to react to avoid the collision. The collision is being investigated by TPR. Shannon Jones, TPR. Michael Webb, SGT. Randy Woods, CVE Officer Jimmie Fields of the Kentucky State Police. Assisting in the collision was Shelby Valley Fire Department, Pike County Emergency Management, and DHP Ambulance Service.
