KSP Investigate Death At Hueysville, Floyd County, Ky

(Hueysville, Kentucky) -- Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of twenty-nine year old Michael Whitaker at 195 Coolwater Creek in the Hueysville, Ky. Mr. Whitaker was pronounced dead at the scene by Floyd County Coroner Greg Nelson. The investigation revealed that Mr. Whitaker was shot with a firearm. His body has been sent to the Kentucky State Medical Examiners Office in Frankfort, Ky. for autopsy to establish the exact cause of death. The investigation also revealed that there had been a disagreement between Michael Whitaker and his uncle Russell Neeley. Russell Neeley was arrested and has been charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence and two counts of Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The case is under investigation by Kentucky State Police Detective B.J. Caudill.
