One Killed in a Two Vehicle Collision on US 23

(Hager Hill, Ky.) -- Valerie Spurlock 33, of David, Ky. was killed about 10:30 a.m. this morning (01/21/2010) on U.S. 23 in Johnson County when the KIA Sportage she was driving crossed into the Southbound side of the highway and collided with an eighteen wheeled coal truck driven by Harold Hall of Printer, Ky. Ms. Spurlock was pronounced dead at the scene by Johnson County Coroner J.R. Frisby. The collision is under investigation by Trp. Byron Hansford and Det. Don Parker of the Kentucky State Police. He is assisted CVE Officer Dennis Hutchinson and Johnson County Sheriffs Department.
