One Killed in a Two-Vehicle Collision on US 421

(Berea, KY) -- Kentucky State Police Post 7, Richmond is currently investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision which occurred two miles South of Berea on US 421 at 2:14 p.m. Ronda S. Moore, age 39 of McKee, was traveling North on US 421 when her vehicle crossed over the centerline and struck a southbound vehicle being operated by John H. Wasson, age 66 of Berea. The vehicles collided head-on. Mr. Wasson suffered a minor head injury and refused treatment at the scene. Ms. Moore was pronounced dead at the scene by Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison. Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. Drug use is the suspected contributing factor in the collision. The investigation by Trooper John Felder continues.
