Fatal ATV Accident in Henry County

Date of News Release: 08/23/2010

(Franklington, Ky.) -- On Saturday, August 21, 2010 dispatchers from KSP Post 5 received a 9-1-1 call from Henry County at 7:47 P.M. regarding an injury accident involving an ATV. Troopers from Post 5 responded to a wooded area near Franklington Road, where they discovered 53 year old Timothy James, from LaGrange, KY trapped under an ATV that had overturned while he was riding. Mr. James was pronounced deceased on scene by the Henry County Coroner Jimmy Pollard.

Trooper Josh Noble is conducting the ongoing investigation. The following agencies assisted at the scene; Henry County EMS, New Castle, Pleasureville and Kentucky River Fire Departments.
