KSP Hosting S.A.F.E.

(New Castle, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police will be hosting a day long safety event called S.A.F.E. (Safety Awareness for Everyone) In Vehicle Day at the Henry County High School on May 24, 2010. The event is designed to reduce traffic collisions involving drivers 16 – 25 years old through educational awareness. All students in Henry County over the age of 16 will participate in a federally funded program called Alive at 25, which focuses on safe and defensive driving techniques. Students will also observe a roll-over simulator demonstrating the dangers of being unrestrained in an overturning vehicle. Additionally, the mobile drug exhibit will be on display to educate students regarding the risks of using drugs and/or alcohol, especially while driving.
The event was organized in cooperation with members of the Henry County Child Fatality Board. The following members contributed to the event:
