Henry County Snow Emergency
Date of News Release: 02/16/2010
(Campbellsburg, Ky.) -- The Henry County local government has issued a Level 2 Emergency regarding winter weather conditions. Most roadways in Henry County are snow covered and extremely slick and hazardous. Officials are insisting the public to refrain from travel while only essential government personnel are out operating to improve conditions. Interstate 71 is mostly clear and passable; however the roadway is wet and remains slick. Secondary roads in Henry County are at times impassable due to high snow drifts. All secondary roads in the Post 5 area (Gallatin, Owen, Trimble, Carroll, & Oldham) are snow covered and hazardous. Road crews continue to work to clear the hazardous roadways.
