Three Injured in a Two Vehicle Collision on I-65
Date of News Release: 02/07/2010
(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- Unit 1, 2004 International wrecker operator Penny Pepper of Louisville, KY and Unit 2, 1990 Buick operator Neal Durham of Jackson, TN., were both traveling south bound of I-65 at the 87mm. Neal Durham's vehicle was traveling at a lower speed of moving traffic and posted speed. Penny Pepper's vehicle came upon Neal Durham and was unable to stop to the lower speed and rear ended Neal Durham's vehicle causing Penny Pepper's vehicle to go into the median. Penny Pepper was not injured. Neal Durham was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Neal Durham had two passengers James Nowell of Jackson, TN was transported to University of Louisville with non-life-threatening injuries and Juvenile Female of Jackson, TN was transported to Kosair with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is on going by Trooper Sam Shacklette.
