Greyhound Bus Collision on I-65

Date of News Release: 03/14/2010

(Bowling Green, KY) -- Both Bekir Osmicevic and Charlie Alexander were traveling southbound in the right lane of travel on Interstate 65 at the 5 milemarker. The greyhound bus was traveling at a slowed speed directly in front of the tractor trailer. The tractor trailer then collided with the back end of the greyhound bus. Mr. Osmicevic and Mr. Alexander's vehicles came to final rest on the right shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Osmicevic was taken by EMS to the Medical Center at Bowling Green. Nine passengers were transported by EMS to the Medical Center at Bowling Green and the Medical Center at Franklin. The other 32 passengers were not injured. Mr. Alexander was not injured. The investigation is ongoing.
