Injury Crash Involving DUI in Muhlenberg County

Date of News Release: 08/12/2010

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Rock McDonald, age 42 of Beech Creek, KY, was operating a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on KY 1163 when he lost control of the vehicle. It exited the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a utility pole. The vehicle came to rest after striking a culvert. Mr. McDonald was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital where he was treated and released. He was charged with DUI 1st offense and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. Trooper Jerry Knight investigated the crash that occurred on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 3:29 p.m. The Beechmont Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
