One Injured in a Single Vehicle Collision on McGregor Road

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On 08/11/2010, Gregory Brown, age 36 of St. Charles, KY, was operating a 1997 Jeep Cherokee northbound on McGregor Road when he encountered an ATV that was operating without any head lights traveling head-on towards his vehicle. Mr. Brown applied his brakes and swerved to the right, avoiding the ATV. However, his vehicle dropped off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree head-on. Mr. Brown was transported to the Regional Medical Center via ambulance for treatment. He was wearing a seat belt. Trooper Derek Smith investigated the crash that occurred on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 8:30 p.m. The St. Charles Volunteer Fire Department, Nortonville Rescue Squad, and Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
