One Injured in a Single Vehicle Collision on KY 109

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Vicky Barnett, age 55 of Hopkinsville, KY, was operating a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on KY 109 when her vehicle exited the right side of the roadway. Ms. Barnett overcorrected and crossed both lanes of travel. The vehicle exited off the left side of the roadway and overturned coming to rest on its top. Ms. Barnett was transported to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. She was wearing a seat belt. Trooper Jermaine Savage investigated the crash that occurred on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 11:10 a.m. The Christian County Sheriff's Department, Christian County Rescue, and Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
