News Release

Injury Collision Involving A Webster County Sheriff Deputy

Date of News Release: 08/08/2010

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Mrs. Jacqueline Spears and Webster County Sheriff Deputy Roy Starkey were both traveling north on US41A. Deputy Starkey was responding to an emergency complaint and his emergency equipment was activated. Deputy Starkey was attempting to pass Mrs. Spears, when she turned left into the path of Deputy Starkey. Mrs. Spears struck Deputy Starkey's police cruiser on the passenger side. Mrs. Spears was transported by Providence EMS to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. Mrs. Spears's passenger Eva Andrews and Deputy Starkey were not injured.
